Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team in the Orthopedic Spine Unit at Albany Medical Center.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per yearAbout the Role

This is a full-time opportunity for an experienced Nurse Practitioner to work with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide high-quality patient care. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals
  • Provide high-quality patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and documenting patient information
  • Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients
  • Direct and guide ancillary personnel and maintain standards of professional nursing
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes
Requirements:
  • Graduate of a professional academic nursing program (DNP or MSN preferred)
  • Current NYS Registered Nurse license
  • Obtains and maintains certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of previous clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Excellent communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills
