Internship Opportunity at JRI Inc

Glenhaven Academy is a residential treatment setting for adolescents that specializes in trauma-informed care. Our comprehensive care program includes a school on site, a full clinical staff, nursing staff, and direct care staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in weekly clinical meetings, SMART trainings, and clinical groups.
  • Support the overall needs of the clinical department and program.
  • Support students in the milieu and school setting.
  • Have the opportunity to do adjunctive case work with 1-2 clients through partnering with a Masters-level clinician and facilitating an additional individual therapy session each week.
  • Complete all documentation related to the clinical chart, including individual and group progress notes and treatment plans.

Requirements
  • Minimum working towards a Master's degree or above in the mental health field (LCSW, LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT).
  • LMHC supervision available. Cannot take LICSW supervision requirements at this time.
  • Clinical interest in working with children/adolescents is required, and familiarity with trauma-informed models of treatment is preferred.
  • Good written and oral communication skills are necessary.
  • Background and driving record checks will be performed.
