Electrophysiology Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Electrophysiology Technician to join our team at Christus Health. As an Electrophysiology Technician, you will be responsible for operating electroencephalographs to measure brain activity and diagnose brain disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform electroencephalograms (EEGs) to measure brain activity and detect evidence of brain disorders
• Operate various electroencephalograph machines, including the Marquette MAC VU, 12, 8, and PC machines
• Perform long-term video EEG monitoring for evaluation of possible abnormal brain activity and for epilepsy and medication modification
• Conduct transcranial Doppler studies to evaluate cerebral blood flow
• Perform accurate evoked potential recording, including visual evoked responses and modified Baer
• Hook up and scan holter monitor tapes, as well as perform 12 or 24-hour pneumogram hook-ups with or without pulse oximetry for in-patient pediatrics and neonates
• Conduct cardiac exercise treadmill testing, routine, and pharmacological, as well as tilt table stress
• Schedule patients for procedures and maintain diagnostic equipment
• Notify physicians daily for exam interpretation and file reports
• Check weekly for needed supplies
