Job Title: Mammography Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at Cynet Health. As a Mammography Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality imaging procedures and providing exceptional patient care.

Job Summary:

This is a 13-week travel assignment for a Mammography Technologist. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist and 1 year of experience in Mammography (preferred). The successful candidate will be registered as a Radiologic Technologist and hold certifications in ARRT Mammography, ARRT Radiography, and Basic Life Support (BLS).

Responsibilities:
  • Perform technical procedures with proper and safe utilization of equipment for diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
  • Set up equipment and position patients for imaging service.
  • Maintain minimum FDA/MQSA requirements for continuing education, experience, and equipment.
  • Adjust technique for optimal image quality while ensuring patient safety.
  • Report and address any equipment malfunctions promptly.
  • Clean, disinfect, and properly maintain equipment.
  • Obtain complete clinical history and assess for contraindicating conditions.
  • Ensure proper patient identification and marker utilization.
  • Review radiographic images and release patients.
  • Respond to emergency situations and use critical thinking skills.
  • Clarify ambiguous orders and assist other technologists as needed.
  • Verify patient identifiers and clinician orders before procedures.
  • Maintain patient privacy and comfort.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in pre- and post-procedural care, and sterile technique if applicable.
  • Organize schedule and priorities efficiently.
  • Follow physician instructions during procedures and practice RBAC (Read Back and Confirm).
  • Explain procedures to patients to minimize anxiety and ensure cooperation using AIDET.
  • Participate in the orientation and training of new staff.
  • Ensure concise, legible documentation using precise terminology.
  • Complete mandatory education and maintain a high first-time acceptance rate for images.
  • Ensure equipment is operational and meets all standards.
  • Restock supplies and maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
  • Transport patients and assist them as needed.
  • Perform routine clerical duties to ensure continuity of services.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in Mammography (preferred).
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist.
  • ARRT Mammography certification.
  • ARRT Radiography certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to function independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capacity to prioritize and multitask effectively.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Detail-oriented with professional interaction capabilities.
