Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at South Oaks Hospital, where you will be working with adolescent patients in an inpatient setting. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychological assessments, psychotherapeutic interventions, and research in accordance with IRB guidelines and approvals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and develop treatment plans for adolescent patients.
  • Implement DBT as the primary treatment modality and lead groups in the milieu, while maintaining an individual case load.
  • Provide supervision and support to inpatient clinical staff, promoting a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Evaluate patient care and outcomes, making recommendations for improvement and ensuring adherence to department and hospital policies.
  • Document patient interventions and maintain accurate records, adhering to department and hospital procedures.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) or Ph.D. in Psychology required.
  • Current License to practice as a Psychologist in New York State, plus specialized certifications as needed.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in an inpatient adolescent setting, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting.
