Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at NYU Langone Ambulatory Care Garden City Vein Center. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for operating radiologic equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate radiology equipment to produce quality images as ordered/according to department protocols.
  • Perform routine diagnostic procedures according to established standards and practices.
  • Instruct and supervise Radiography students in clinical practicum.
  • Assist in the care and maintenance of facilities, equipment, and supplies.
  • Accurately utilize the Radiology Information Systems.
  • Practice effective radiation protection.
  • Prepare patients for exams using proper positioning and instructions.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Technical Diploma from an AMA-approved school of Radiology or Imaging Services.
  • Current New York State Radiologic technician license or temporary permit.
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 6 months of hire.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of Radiologic Technology experience.
