Electrical Engineer II Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an Electrical Engineer II to design, budget, and manage installations of engineered electrical control systems for capital projects and continuous improvement projects associated with plant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoots and resolves malfunctions to machine control systems and makes recommendations to improve efficiency or quality concerns
  • Develops new and modifies existing PLC and/or HMI applications, interfaces, or embedded controls systems
  • Designs, installs/integrates, and commissions new equipment into existing processes and machinery
  • Knowledge of AC and DC circuitry and electrical concepts
  • Versatile in ladder logic and various PLC programming languages
  • Competency in Electrical CAD
  • Possess and maintain a thorough knowledge of all equipment operations, maintenance procedures, safety policies, and operating standards

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical or processing engineering
  • Allen Bradley or Siemens PLC Experience
  • Experience with AC or DC electrical systems (preferably AC)
  • HMI programming experience

Shift: Monday - Friday 8am-5pm EST *** Open to relocation ***
