Job Summary:
The Engineering Worker provides daily mechanical operations for Bozeman Health's facilities, including hospitals, medical office buildings, and physical plant and grounds. They are also responsible for security during dayshift hours by locking and unlocking buildings, security systems, and responding to emergency situations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Performs repairs and/or troubleshoots equipment and/or facility problems
• Performs preventative maintenance on equipment or systems on a scheduled basis
• Conducts daily rounds through areas of responsibility and makes repairs as required
• Collaborates with customer departments on equipment replacement, facility renovations, and interior improvements
• Works with vendors or contractors to coordinate necessary facility repairs or renovations
• Documents completed work orders
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• One year technical trade school or equivalent training in electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, HVAC, or Carpentry
• Montana Licensure (Boiler) required within 14 months of hire
Desirable Skills:
• Self-directed, completes assignments accurately, thoroughly, and with minimal oversight
• Creativity, problem analysis, and decision-making
• Strong emotional intelligence, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work varied shifts
• Demonstrates sound judgment, patience, and maintains a professional demeanor at all times
• Computer applications, MS Office, EMR, internet applications, and standard office equipment
