Job Overview

Rantec Power Systems, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Test Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Test Engineering group, you will be responsible for designing and developing test procedures and equipment to support environmental and electronic testing of power supplies and power conversion products.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in test engineering, with experience in electronic manufacturing environments. A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 10 years of relevant experience are required. Proficiency in LabView, PC's, MS Project, and MS Office is highly desirable.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the daily operations and activities within the Test Engineering group, including managing test engineering staff and providing guidance. They will also be responsible for managing priorities and workload for Test Engineering staff based on criticality and production schedule.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and developing test procedures and equipment
  • Managing test engineering staff and providing guidance
  • Managing priorities and workload for Test Engineering staff
  • Supporting line down issues with hands-on approach
  • Providing technical guidance to Test Engineers
  • Helping drive root cause analysis and issue resolution
  • Preparing appropriation requests for equipment purchases
  • Evaluating test equipment required to analyze product performance and making recommendations in the testing process
  • Preparing recommendations for testing and documentation of procedures to be used from the product design phase through initial production
  • Providing training in new procedures to staff and ensuring existing procedures are correctly followed and updated according to new requirements

Rantec Power Systems, Inc. offers a competitive salary range of $116,000 - $150,000 annually, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts, and 401K with matching up to 6%.
