We are looking for a talented Artisan Pizza Chef to contribute to our culinary team at M&R Hotel Management. As a vital member of our kitchen staff, you will be tasked with creating outstanding dough that serves as the basis for our exquisite pizzas. Your proficiency in dough crafting and baking methods will be essential in upholding the quality and uniformity of our pizza selections. Additionally, you will prepare and bake a range of authentic Italian breads, ensuring that the highest quality benchmarks are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Craft dough for pizzas as well as various Italian breads, including ciabatta, focaccia, and sourdough.
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, such as mixers and ovens.
- Oversee the baking process to guarantee that dough and breads are baked to perfection.
- Adhere to recipes and modify ingredients as needed to reach the desired texture and taste.
- Keep a clean and organized workspace.
- Assist with inventory control and ingredient ordering.
- Train and oversee junior bakers as required.
- Ensure adherence to food safety standards and regulations.
- Demonstrated experience as a bread baker, with a focus on Italian breads preferred.
- Familiarity with traditional Italian baking techniques and recipes.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately follow recipes.
- Capability to work effectively in a high-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Physical endurance to stand for extended periods and lift heavy bags of flour.
- Availability for a flexible schedule, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
