Responsibilities:
THE POSITION:
As a Senior Performance Optimization Lead within our Graphics division, you will spearhead the technical performance optimization initiatives for AMD's graphics offerings.
Your role will involve establishing product performance benchmarks and guiding technical teams to meet these benchmarks throughout the entire product development process.
THE INDIVIDUAL:
Driven by a passion for performance and optimization, you thrive on solving complex challenges, communicate with precision, influence effectively, and possess expertise in low-level graphics workload performance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Define competitive performance benchmarks for new products utilizing simulators, emulators, silicon, and expert judgment.
Analyze graphics workload trends and leverage this insight to prioritize performance engineering efforts across various technical teams.
Collaborate with multiple engineering teams to drive analysis and optimization of critical workloads during both pre- and post-silicon development.
Identify avenues for enhancing engineering efficiency and lead the creation of innovative methods that facilitate more accurate and effective performance optimization efforts.
Recognize competitive performance deficiencies and implement solutions by collaborating with architects and engineers across all product domains, including hardware, software, and firmware.
Utilize your expertise in graphics workloads to pinpoint strategic focus areas that will yield competitive performance advantages for AMD's graphics products, working across engineering domains to integrate these solutions into products.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Relevant background in GPU 3D performance evaluation and architecture.
Familiarity with 3D frameworks and algorithms.
Understanding of CPU and GPU architecture, along with experience in GPU programming technologies.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
A bachelor's degree is required, with a preference for a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field.
Qualifications:

Your base salary will be determined by your skills, qualifications, experience, and location relative to the hiring range for the position.
