POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Beverage Operations Coordinator is tasked with overseeing the daily activities of the venue and ensuring that Team Member performance aligns with the standards set forth by the organization and relevant regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following outlines the primary responsibilities associated with this role. Additional tasks may be assigned as necessary by management. All responsibilities must be executed in compliance with applicable regulations and organizational policies.

  • Upholds performance benchmarks, policies, and procedures pertinent to venue operations, while monitoring Team Member service quality.
  • Facilitates seamless and effective operations consistently.
  • Ensures that the highest standards of guest service and Team Member relations are upheld fairly and equitably.
  • Conducts team briefings, assigns roles, and promotes effective communication within the department.
  • Guarantees adherence to all health and safety regulations as well as local, state, and federal laws.
  • Assists the venue manager in scheduling Team Members, ensuring adequate staffing levels are maintained based on guest requirements.
  • Provides feedback to the venue manager regarding operational challenges and areas for enhancement.
  • Encourages positive guest interactions through prompt and courteous service.
  • Handles guest complaints effectively, ensuring satisfaction.
  • Obtains necessary certifications within the designated timeframe and maintains a thorough understanding of responsible alcohol service.
  • Stays informed about local gaming and beverage regulations and internal company policies.
  • Maintains confidentiality at all times.
  • Adheres to the attendance policy set forth by FireKeepers Casino Hotel.
  • Serves as a model representative of FireKeepers Casino Hotel.

SUPERVISORY DUTIES:

This role includes supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and legal requirements. Duties encompass maintaining staffing levels, interviewing, hiring, and training Team Members, assigning tasks, evaluating performance, and addressing issues.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicants must possess the necessary education, training, and experience to demonstrate the ability to perform essential duties effectively. FireKeepers reserves the right to assess the adequacy of a candidate's qualifications through various evaluation methods.

The following qualifications are generally required:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Two years of experience in Front of House (FOH) service.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

One year of supervisory experience in food or beverage service is preferred. Experience in a gaming environment is also advantageous.

LANGUAGE AND MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Capable of writing routine reports and correspondence. Proficient in speaking effectively before groups.

Ability to perform basic mathematical operations and work with statistical data.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to identify problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw conclusions. Capable of interpreting complex instructions and managing various variables.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This position requires regular communication, standing, walking, and using hands to manipulate objects. Occasional climbing, balancing, and stooping may be necessary. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and depth perception.

Work is conducted in various areas of the facility, with noise levels ranging from quiet to loud. Must be able to work in environments with smoke exposure.

Indian preference will be applied in the selection of qualified applicants in accordance with the NHBP Indian Preference in Employment Code.
