We are seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanic to join our team at Mavis Tire Supply. As a key member of our undercar repair team, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and performing a wide range of automotive services on customers' vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:- Inspect and diagnose vehicle problems to determine the necessary repairs
- Perform a variety of undercar repairs, including brakes, struts, and shocks
- Complete state-mandated inspections and ensure vehicles are in compliance with safety regulations
- Change oil and filters, check fluids, and replace worn parts as needed
- Dismount, mount, rotate, and balance tires to ensure proper vehicle performance
To be eligible for this position, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Have 2 years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance
- Have an extensive tool box of personal tools used in performing undercar repairs
- State inspection license(s)
- ASE Certifications in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5)
This is a physically demanding position that requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing, pulling, reaching, and performing repeated and repetitive movements consistent with vehicle maintenance and automotive repair. You must be able to regularly lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds.
