The Operations Manager is responsible for steering the branch's operational functions towards excellence in Safety, Quality, Productivity, Delivery, and Cost management.
Key Responsibilities- Enhances processes and protocols to boost customer on-time delivery rates.
- Evaluates ongoing performance against yearly targets, communicates any deficiencies, and implements corrective action plans.
- Mentors, trains, and develops team members to meet departmental objectives.
- Works collaboratively with various departments and branches on initiatives, continuous improvement projects, and kaizen activities.
- Ensures achievement of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, Cost, and Compliance KPIs for the operations division.
- Contributes to supporting functions related to Operations, including procurement, supply chain management, and quality assurance, providing insights for enhancements.
- Participates actively in processing orders and managing material transfers.
- Engages in the Global Continuous Improvement initiative, particularly in Kaizen Events, 5S, CI Projects, and Quality Assurance initiatives.
- Delivers all necessary reports, metrics, and updates to senior management and branch leadership in a timely and professional manner.
- Addresses all disciplinary matters and accountability issues in accordance with company policy and agreements.
- Implements a documented performance management system for all team members, conducting evaluations biannually.
- Performs additional duties as required.
- Strong managerial and supervisory capabilities.
- In-depth knowledge of operations and production management.
- Ability to analyze financial data to establish production objectives.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent software.
- Skilled in analyzing data and formulating improvement strategies based on business intelligence reports.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline is preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years in a manufacturing setting.
- At least 5 years in a leadership role as a Plant or Operations Manager.
- Ability to spend extended periods seated at a desk and using a computer.
- Must be capable of navigating the production facility.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
- Occasional travel may be required.
