The Brain Health Unit is a 40-bed unit that provides comprehensive care to patients with medical and psychological diagnoses. Our team is dedicated to providing high-quality care and creating a supportive environment for our patients and their families.
As a Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide safe, age-appropriate patient care. You will also be responsible for ensuring that our unit is running efficiently and effectively, and that we are meeting our quality and safety standards.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Leadership: Provide overall direction and coordination of unit operations
- Fiscal Management: Participate in budget development and monitoring
- Clinical Management: Assist in providing overall direction and coordination of clinical operations
- Clinical Competency: Demonstrate proficiency in basic core competencies
- Quality Assessment: Establish and implement systems to monitor and improve key clinical and financial indicators
- Compliance: Ensure that nursing staff carries out patient care according to regulatory standards
Requirements for this role include:
- BSN preferred
- 5-7 years related experience
- Maryland Registered Nurse License
- American Heart Association CPR Certification
- Applicable Specialty Certifications Preferred
