Job Summary:

The 3rd Shift Floor Tech will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our commercial buildings. This includes sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and buffing floor surfaces, as well as performing heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and maintain buildings/facilities, performing heavy cleaning duties as needed.
  • Notify management of any minor or major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, and managers.
  • Comply with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities.
  • Be flexible and willing to complete all tasks assigned.
  • Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them, following procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment.
  • Move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates, and equipment to clean areas, either manually or by using hand trucks.
  • Remove stains from surfaces such as rugs, drapes, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions.
  • Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications.
  • Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
  • Clean and vacuum carpeted areas, including application of spot cleaning treatment.
  • Wipe and clean tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas.
  • Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events.
  • Keep the janitor's closet neat and orderly and maintain equipment in good working order.
  • Monitor building security and safety by performing tasks such as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use.
  • Function as a contact for clients, using high-level professionalism and communication skills.
  • Work with little to no supervision and independently determine tasks to complete on a daily basis.
  • Perform all physical aspects of the job duties, including continuous walking and standing.
  • Communicate effectively with management and customers.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Work Schedule:

9:30pm-5am, 40 hours a week
