Key Responsibilities:
The Warehouse Manager will receive assignments in the form of objectives and will determine the optimal use of resources to meet established schedules and goals. This role involves providing direction to team members to achieve targets in alignment with company policies. The manager will recommend policy changes and establish procedures that impact the immediate organization. Adhering to operational policies, the manager will select appropriate methods and techniques for problem-solving. Additionally, this position acts as an advisor to subordinates to ensure timely completion of tasks and resolution of technical issues. The Warehouse Manager will also develop and manage schedules and performance metrics, potentially overseeing budget responsibilities.
Specific Duties Include:
- Creating stock transfer orders.
- Coordinating the load-out schedule with internal distribution and external contractors.
- Integrating Capacity Planning, Production, and Warehouse inputs into the system for shipping to inventory centers.
- Arranging load tenders to contracted carriers and scheduling pick-up appointments.
- Making necessary adjustments in the mainframe system.
- Ensuring cleanliness and organization in all areas.
- Overseeing product selection for production in compliance with SAP requirements.
- Implementing a first in/first out inventory philosophy.
- Maintaining forklift safety and certification standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proficient in computer applications, including spreadsheets, word processing, transportation, and cold chain management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
- Familiarity with OSHA, USDA, HAACP, FDA, DEA regulations, as well as safety, sanitation, and food safety standards relevant to warehouse operations.
Education and Experience:
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience totaling at least 10 years in warehouse management. A minimum of 3-5 years of progressively responsible warehouse experience, including leadership roles, is required.
