Steward Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Steward to join our team at The Trade Hotel Milwaukee. As a Steward, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests have a great dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and sanitize food preparation and serving items, equipment, and areas to maintain a high level of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Operate the dishwasher to ensure that items are loaded correctly and washed to the highest standards.
  • Maintain the washing equipment in proper order and store cleaned and dried items and equipment in designated areas.
  • Wash and sanitize all service ware, cookware, utensils, and other equipment to ensure they are clean and ready for use.
  • Dispose of garbage and recycling in the proper waste and recycling containers.
  • Assist cooks, servers, and bartenders during peak activity periods to help maintain proper inventory levels and ensure a smooth service.
  • Assist with china, glass, and silver inventories to ensure that we have the necessary items for our guests.
Requirements:
  • Strong oral communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with colleagues and guests.
  • Ability to work primarily in the morning and be reliable and honest in your work.
  • Strong attention to detail to maintain a high level of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
  • Motivated to maintain excellent customer service reputation and contribute to a supportive and effective team.
