Land Acquisition Specialist

D.R. Horton, Inc., a leading homebuilder in the US, is seeking a skilled Land Acquisitioner - WA to join their Operations Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for acquiring undeveloped land or finished lots for development, working closely with property owners, brokers, land developers, city officials, and other stakeholders to secure land.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and secure land acquisition leads, providing initial responses and organizing leads for management review.
- Conduct title and municipal research, perform initial 'cold call' inquiries, and provide meeting arrangements with sellers and/or their representatives.
- Prepare and provide property description information, seller demands, terms, conditions, and contact details to management.
- Negotiate purchase contracts with sellers and maintain close relationships with land developers, brokers, and land owners.
- Underwrite and analyze the financial aspects of each development opportunity and communicate regularly with city officials.
- Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner, serving customers and increasing the goodwill and profit of the company.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess a fifth-year college or university program certificate and four to six years of related experience and/or training. Proficiency in MS Office and email is also required.
Preferred qualifications include strong written and oral communication skills, the ability to multi-task, and attention to detail.

- Annual Salary: $70,000 - $75,000 (DOE) plus bonus potential.
