Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Carle Foundation Hospital. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using various equipment to assist in the diagnosis of diseases and injuries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform radiographic procedures by acquiring and processing patient exams in accordance with accrediting bodies and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Review cases with the radiologist when appropriate and review labs and patient history to perform correct exams.
  • Administer IV contrast and oral/rectal contrast when appropriate and recognize and respond to any adverse reactions or allergic reactions.
  • Responsible to review radiology orders for completeness and accuracy and review patient history and supporting clinical data for medical necessity.
  • Take steps to acquire additional information if needed from the patient, ordering provider and/or Radiologist.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Related Field or Certificate in Radiologic Technology.
  • IEMA Radiography License Illinois upon hire and Radiography (R)(ARRT) within 1 year.
  • Positive attitude and demonstrated willingness to assess and improve work environment.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks while coordinating patient flow and a variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative.
