Based in the US, you will play a critical role in supporting the Group Tax Director to ensure the company meets its legal obligations in respect of all US taxes. As Tax Manager, you will be responsible for:
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the preparation and submission of tax filings, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Provide strategic tax planning and advice to optimize the company's tax position.
- Ensure excellent tax governance arrangements and add value by mitigating risk and proactively seeking opportunities to enhance tax processes.
- Actively identify opportunities for enhancement of existing processes.
- Ensure that the US corporate income tax and deferred tax balances are calculated correctly in the accounts of US entities and at group level.
- Develop and enhance tax education and training to the business as part of the Group Tax Risk Control Framework.
- Establish appropriate processes to maximize tax opportunities and deductions.
- Technical review of monthly and quarterly sales and use tax returns.
- Input into quarterly Group Tax forecasting process.
- This role reports to the Group Tax Director based in the UK and will involve collaborating with the Group Tax Team and other internal stakeholders.
Required Skills:
- CPA qualified with years of US corporate tax experience.
- Excellent at applying tax technical knowledge to real-world business situations.
- Experienced at building relationships and stakeholder management.
- Excellent organization and prioritization skills.
- Outstanding verbal and written skills to explain tax issues concisely to non-tax colleagues.
- High level of knowledge of tax accounting in the context of ERP systems.
- Excellent research and reasoning skills.
