About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomy Specialist to join our team at the American Red Cross. As a Phlebotomy Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient collection of blood donations at our fixed site locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with your team to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for volunteer donors
  • Follow all safety procedures while collecting lifesaving blood donations
  • Utilize your healthcare and/or customer service skills to assist with every step of the blood collection process

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Associates degree or a combination of education and work experience
  • Minimum of one year customer service experience in a public setting
  • A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record (may be required)
  • Physical requirements may include the ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights up and down ramps and stairs, good manual dexterity, and the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
Preferred Qualifications

Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience (CNA, MA, EMT, etc.) and prior leadership experience are highly desirable.
