Job Title: Bilingual Guest Experience Representative

We are seeking a highly skilled Bilingual Guest Experience Representative to join our team at The LineUp at Wai Kai. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, ensuring their experience is memorable and enjoyable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret between Japanese-speaking guests and our staff to facilitate effective communication.
  • Receive and process group tour reservations, entering them into Fare Harbor.
  • Assist with group tour check-in, answer questions, and provide direction and instruction on guest activity assignments.
  • Meet and greet guests upon arrival, maintaining a positive guest experience.
  • Confidently handle guest escalations and resolve matters as they arise.
  • Provide interpretation for various onsite meetings, telephone, and web conferences.
  • Translate technical and non-technical documents, including policies, instructions, and manuals.
  • Compose and translate emails, reports, and other documents as needed.
Requirements:
  • Written and verbal fluency in Japanese and English, with excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Japanese/English business language skills.
  • Interpreter/Translator experience in a hospitality and tourism environment.
  • Ability to translate quickly and accurately.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • One to two years of experience in a Japanese/English interpreter role, preferred Associate's degree.
  • Preferred one to two years' experience in hospitality and tourism.
