Key Responsibilities

  • Assist service staff with making product recommendations
  • Ensure safe alcohol service techniques are observed at all times
  • Maintain service in assigned section/dining room as determined by management
  • Ensure all drink orders are recorded and charged correctly
  • Ensure all orders are recorded and entered into point-of-sale system accurately and in a timely manner
  • Ensure all food and beverage orders are delivered correctly and promptly
  • Secure and process payment quickly and accurately
  • Manage cash bank with precision and provide servers with change when needed
  • Maintain all guest checks and complete shift paperwork as assigned
  • Complete cleaning and stocking duties thoroughly and as assigned
  • Maintain product rotation and assist management in assessing par levels and product needs
  • Assist in creating and maintaining high-quality beverage offerings based on current trends and product availability
  • Be prepared to speak to the offerings of the entire Resort and Spa, including services offered and hours of operation
  • Deliver exceptional service standards and department-specific signature touch points
  • Establish cross-departmental channels of communication among teammates
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
  • Complete additional training as needed
  • Perform deep cleaning and organizing as assigned
  • Assist with functions of other positions within the restaurant and across the resort as needed
  • Maintain proper functioning and cleaning of equipment used in bar and dining room
  • Alert management of needed product, rotate dated product as needed, and remove expired product when needed
  • Assist with product inventories when needed
  • Understand functions of departments across resort property
  • Articulate location of departments and services when required
  • Ability to work flexible schedule, including required shifts on weekends, holidays, and as business requires
  • Greet every guest, member, and team member with exceptional service standards and set a positive tone for every interaction
  • Provide extraordinary service that is enriching by nature

Position Requirements
  • Minimum Knowledge & Skills: Requires specific knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits; proper mixology techniques; and beverage pairings. Requires knowledge of food and beverage items and preparation, safe handling, and service techniques. Requires ability to verbally communicate and record information in writing. Requires basic computer proficiency
  • Formal Education and Job-Related Experience: Minimum formal education of high school diploma or equivalent. One (1) year of professional experience in a bartending position required
  • License, Registration, and/or Certification Required: Basic food handler certification and alcohol service certification (may be provided by organization upon acceptance of position)
