US Engine Valve is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manufacturing Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and specifying advanced electrical, mechanical, and computer-controlled systems. Your expertise will be instrumental in improving manufacturing support and maintenance programs through training and technical support. You will develop process specifications, machine parameters, and plans for scrap reduction and uptime improvements. Additionally, you will drive capital projects from strategic planning to purchase, installation, and handoff to operations. You will also benchmark best-in-class facilities and implement world-class processes, equipment, and workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

Design control systems for machine tools, including electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Select capital equipment for manufacturing processes.
Improve current machine tools to increase uptime, quality, and productivity.
Provide engineering support to production equipment and processes, including advising maintenance teams.
Establish programs for cost savings activities to support overall plant requirements.
Advise on improving preventative maintenance programs.
Consult with suppliers and internal engineers for continuous improvement programs.
Authorize and approve changes to machine tool programs.
Train associates on new technologies and manufacturing processes.
Maintain and follow Quality Management System and Environmental Management System requirements.
Participate in teams and champion team activities.
Track and accumulate cost savings.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution required.
Position requires technical knowledge in machine function, processes, control systems, CNC, PLC, servo drives, stepper motor drives, and electrical/electronic systems.
Technical knowledge in mechanical design is also required.
Detailed abilities in capital equipment justification, project scheduling, and managerial planning are essential.
Human relations are critical for success in this role.
Mentor and develop maintenance personnel.
Assist other plants/facilities with technical problems.
Ability to self-manage assigned project tasks is essential.
Preferred experience in data-driven analysis and problem-solving methods.
