About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Sleep Technician to join our team at Connecticut Children's. As a Sleep Technician, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders in children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and set up sleep studies, ensuring accurate and efficient data collection.
  • Apply electrodes and sensors according to accepted standards, and calibrate equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  • Monitor study-tracing quality, identify and correct artifacts, and document routine observations.
  • Assist with interventions, including positive airway pressure and oxygen administration, to ensure patient safety and therapeutic outcomes.
  • Perform data acquisition, and assist with data analysis and interpretation.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Healthcare and/or pediatric experience a plus.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a team environment.
  • CPR or BLS Healthcare certification within 1 month of hire and maintained thereafter.
  • Must achieve Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) within 3 years of hire.
