Sleep Technician

About the Role:
As a Sleep Technician at Connecticut Children's, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders in children. You will work under the general supervision of a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist, the Sleep Medical Director, Sleep Center Manager or designee to provide direct patient care and education.
Responsibilities:
* Review patient history and verify medical orders
* Follow sleep center protocols related to sleep studies
* Prepare and set up sleep studies, including applying electrodes and sensors
* Perform data acquisition and monitoring of study-tracing quality
* Document routine observations, including sleep stages and clinical events
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Healthcare and/or pediatric experience preferred
* Ability to work in a team environment and provide excellent customer service
* Strong communication and follow-up skills
License and Certification:
* CPR or BLS healthcare certification within 1 month of hire and maintained thereafter
* Must achieve Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) within 3 years of hire
