Project Manager Commissary Job Description

As a Project Manager Commissary, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the operations of our commissary, ensuring that our clients receive the highest level of service and support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Planning and Operations: Work with our Director of Operations to develop and implement strategies to maximize growth and efficiency opportunities. Communicate a clear vision for how our commissary supports and furthers our company's mission, aligning systems, culture, and structure to ensure consistency and meet contract needs.
  • Performance Management: Lead and oversee assigned contracts, ensuring that work is performed in accordance with contract requirements and company policies and procedures. Monitor labor, supply, and equipment expenses and take appropriate action to meet budgets.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Develop professional working partnerships with current and potential key contracting representatives, subcontractors, vendors, and site occupants. Develop and establish appropriate communication methods, using routine and periodic meetings, proactive preparation and reporting, and prompt response and resolution of customer complaints.
  • Client Development: Monitor and ensure operations services at assigned sites meet the needs of clients while fulfilling contract obligations. Ensure supervisors and team leaders receive training and coaching on working with individuals with disabilities and apply those techniques in the workplace.
  • Effective Leadership: Place people in positions to succeed. Develop and empower a top-notch team. Direct supervision of Commissary Supervisor(s) and indirect supervision of all site positions, ensuring work is performed according to contract requirements, company policies, and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business or related field. Will consider a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience: 2+ year's work experience preferably in retail, grocery, or convenience store environment or department manager. 5+ years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Background Checks: Must pass criminal background check. Must pass various State and Federal registry checks. Must pass DCFS Abuse and Neglect Tracking System check.
  • Driving: Must pass driving history check and Company policy criteria. Must maintain valid driver's license and be 21 or older to drive.
