Upper Moreland Township School District is seeking a qualified Bus Driver to join our team. As a Bus Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, ensuring their safety and well-being during transit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Obey all traffic laws and regulations, including those specific to school buses.
  • Maintain a clean and safe bus environment, adhering to all mandatory safety regulations.
  • Exercise discipline and maintain order among students during transit.
  • Report any incidents or concerns to the proper authority.
  • Perform routine checks on the bus to ensure mechanical safety.
  • Notify the Transportation Director in case of mechanical failure or lateness.
  • Ensure students are discharged only at authorized stops.
  • Exercise responsible leadership during out-of-district school trips.
  • Transport only authorized students.
  • Report all accidents and complete required reports.
  • Enforce regulations against smoking and eating on the bus.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent; preference given to those with a minimum of two years of college.
  • Valid Pennsylvania driver's license, School Bus Endorsement, Passenger Endorsement, and Commercial Driver's License or ability to obtain.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and present information effectively.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions.
Working Conditions:

The Bus Driver will work in a fast-paced environment, regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, and moderate noise levels. The position requires the ability to safely evacuate all passengers in an emergency situation.
