Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team at Tradesmen International, Inc. as an Industrial Instrumentation Technician.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform AC/DC, Stator, Rotor, and Armature Winding with Random and Form Coils Fractional to 6,000/HP
  • Operate Specialized Testing Equipment including, but not limited to, Winding Machines, Test Panels, Surge Testers, Coreloss Testers, Cut Off Saws, Burnout Ovens, Bake Ovens, Grinders, Cranes, Forklifts, Brazing Units, Dip Tanks and Various Handheld Power Tools
  • Inspect Various Electromechanical Equipment for Damage and Evidence of Electrical Malfunction
  • Test Conditions of Windings
  • Check, Clean, File, and Drift Core
  • Test and Insert Coils and Maintain Dimensions Given on Data Sheets
  • Solder or Braze Connections
  • Insulate Drive Slot Wedges, Band as Necessary
  • Fasten, Remove, or Install Revolving Field Coils
  • Other Tasks as Assigned
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 Years of Experience
  • Tools of the Trade
  • Able to Read Blueprints, Schematics, Shop Drawings
  • Reading Micrometres Machine Experience
  • Experience using Calipers
  • Physically Able to Perform the Tasks Assigned
  • Basic Knowledge and Use of Common Electronics and Programs
  • Able to Lift 50 Pounds
