Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Charge Nurse in the Observation Unit at Ascension Sacred Heart. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for coordinating unit staffing, providing leadership, and ensuring the implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care in assigned areas.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate unit staffing and provide leadership to ensure effective patient care
  • Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff during assigned shifts
  • Contribute to or perform performance evaluations of staff
  • Assess daily patient care needs and develop and distribute patient care assignments
  • Respond to complaints about patient care and manage through established channels
  • May provide input for hiring, training, directing, development, and evaluating of staff
Requirements
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS Provider, Licensed Registered Nurse in Florida
  • Education: Required professional licensure/certification and 1 year of cumulative job-specific experience
