Role Overview

Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Specialist to support their dynamic team in Connecticut. This role is crucial in providing financial operations and ensuring the accuracy of internal and external financial reports.

Responsibilities
  • Support the CFO and Controller with day-to-day financial operations and monthly closings, utilizing advanced software systems.
  • Prepare, record, and review entries documenting daily accounting activity with attention to detail.
  • Assist in the advancement of Sage (Timberline), TimberScan, and HCSS for project management.
  • Manage fixed asset records and related tax filings.
  • Collaborate with all accounting functions and staff, including Cash Management, Billing, and Accounts Payable.
  • Utilize Excel and Word to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Prepare internal and external financial reports, showcasing analytical skills.
  • Maintain a high level of productivity while multitasking and paying close attention to details.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or relevant field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in financial reporting.
  • Prior construction accounting experience is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Sage (Timberline) and report writing is beneficial.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Ability to multitask and maintain focus on details.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $68,000-$83,000, depending on experience. The company offers a competitive benefits package and a collaborative work environment.
