Job DescriptionAt Gracepoint, we are seeking a compassionate and empathetic Team Lead to join our Forensic Treatment Program North Campus team. As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for providing direct care to individuals served with behavioral health needs, observing and monitoring their behavior, and supporting them with activities of daily living (ADL). You will also lead activity groups and community meetings, admit and orient individuals served to the program, and ensure all program tasks are completed properly.

Responsibilities include:
  • Monitoring patients according to program policies and procedures
  • Assisting patients with ADL's according to the therapeutic environment.
  • Maintaining safety and security of the unit including patients, staff and visitors.
  • Accurate and timely completion of required patient documentation.
  • Managing and organizing the continuous workflow of the unit and workspace including cleanliness of the environment.
  • Providing appropriate nutrition based on patients' dietary needs as directed by the dietician.
  • BHT Team Leads are responsible for supervising other Behavioral Health Techs and their responsibilities outlined above. This may include organizing and assigning various tasks to other staff, providing orientation to new staff, and assisting with other tech-related issues on the unit.


Requirements include:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in the mental health field or health care setting preferred. BHT certification preferred.
  • Must have the ability to communicate clearly and appropriately with individuals served, co-workers, and visitors. Must have leadership skills.
  • Must have a reliable source of transportation, a valid driver's license, and automobile insurance (if driving on the job).


Physical demands include:
  • Abilities in reaching, bending, talking, fingering, sitting, carrying, standing, grasping, fine hand coordination, ability to hear, ability to read and write, and the ability to remain calm under stress.
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds of dead weight alone.
  • May be required to stand for an extended period.


Work environment includes an inpatient behavioral health care setting with a fast-paced team approach, requiring above-average time management skills. Compliance responsibilities include adhering to all applicable federal, state, local, and company-maintained standards of compliance, ethics, and policies concerned with the administration and delivery of agency services.
