Key Responsibilities- Assist teachers in creating and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with autism and other special needs.
- Provide one-on-one support to students in the classroom and during extracurricular activities.
- Help to create a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth.
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement behavioral interventions and strategies.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to ensure a smooth transition between home and school.
- Candidate must hold a clear, valid Georgia Paraprofessional Certificate or be eligible to hold this Certificate.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with students with special needs.
