Position Overview

As an Educator at Primrose School of Cooper City, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing young minds as they explore and understand their surroundings. We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Teacher to execute a continuous program of activities that foster the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth of each child, in alignment with the Primrose Balanced Learning philosophy.

Primrose School of Cooper City is a recognized private preschool that offers a top-tier educational childcare experience. We provide year-round programs catering to children from infancy through elementary school age.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily operations and supervision of a classroom of children.
  • Adhere to all regulations and guidelines set forth by Primrose School of Cooper City and relevant local, state, or national agencies regarding child health, safety, and care.
  • Continuously evaluate each child's developmental requirements.
  • Execute the approved lesson plans and daily schedule in accordance with the Primrose Balanced Learning curriculum.
  • Collaborate with a member of the Leadership Team to organize parent-teacher conferences and assess student progress.
  • Maintain an inviting and well-organized classroom that encourages creativity, exploration, and confident decision-making among children.
  • Provide positive reinforcement and set clear, consistent expectations for children's behavior.
  • Take responsibility for the upkeep and cleanliness of the classroom, shared areas, and outdoor spaces.
  • Participate in all mandatory staff meetings, workshops, and school events.
  • Uphold a professional appearance in line with the guidelines outlined in the Primrose School of Cooper City Employee Handbook.
  • Assist in additional tasks as determined necessary by the Director or designated personnel.
Qualifications:
  • Must meet the fundamental requirements of the local childcare regulatory agency.
  • Prior experience in a lead teaching role within a licensed early childhood program is essential (3 to 5 years).
  • Understanding of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. for the safe handling of children and to address emergency situations. For Infant and Young Toddler educators, the ability to safely lift infants in and out of cribs is required.
  • For Infant - Preschool Teachers: A two-year degree in early childhood education or a related field is preferred.
  • Must possess an up-to-date Staff Credential or CDA.
