We are seeking a dedicated Lead Teacher for our VPK Preschool program. Candidates with experience in VPK are highly preferred. The ideal applicant will be organized, adaptable, and preferably bilingual. Our institution is large, offering numerous positions including Floaters, Assistant Teachers, Cleaning Staff, and Security/Maintenance roles for children aged 1-12, specifically in Preschool (ages 1-5) and K-3.

Part-Time Aftercare Teacher: We also require a part-time teacher for our aftercare program, with prior experience in aftercare being advantageous.

Role of Our Teachers:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement the YKA curriculum tailored to the unique needs of each child.
  • Create a safe and nurturing environment conducive to play and learning.
  • Engage and communicate with parents to ensure the best care and education for their children.
  • Support the center's objectives by collaborating with staff and leadership to meet goals related to enrollment, accreditation, and engagement.
  • Foster positive relationships with families, educators, licensing authorities, community partners, and corporate affiliates.

Qualifications:

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • A genuine passion for working with children and a commitment to making a positive impact daily.
  • Ability to cultivate relationships with families and colleagues, creating a vibrant environment for learning and play.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, strong organizational abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Required Credentials:

  • Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential.
  • 2-3 years of experience in Early Childhood Education (preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred).
  • CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire.
  • Must meet state-specific guidelines for the role.
  • Physical capability to use a computer, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and engage in physical activities with children.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken.
