Transportation Planner

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Planner to join our team at Houston Engineering, Inc. as a Project Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and administering various transportation planning projects, including multi-modal transportation and corridor studies, and land use planning.
Key Responsibilities- Collect and analyze data, conduct research, and prepare project administration documents for transportation planning projects.
- Develop, review, and evaluate planning documents, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, regulations, policies, and guidelines.
- Research and identify various transportation funding avenues and prepare grant applications to secure funding for clients.
- Collaborate with municipalities, state and local agencies, universities, and private clients to understand their needs and perform transportation planning analysis using spreadsheet and GIS tools.
- Develop and implement public engagement programs to ensure equity and broad representation in transportation planning efforts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and project coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
