Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist II to join our team at Houston Methodist Clear Lake Hospital. As a key member of our interprofessional care team, you will be responsible for evaluating and developing therapy plans for patients with a broad range of diagnoses and acuities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients to identify their level of function and develop treatment plans to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to modify treatment plans and ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Provide education to patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques and strategies to promote independence and self-care.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in departmental projects to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Compact license acceptable according to current Board requirements within 90 days.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • At least three years of experience as an Occupational Therapist, or two years of experience with a Doctorate degree, or completion of a HM or comparable Occupational Therapy Fellowship/Residency program.
