Piedmont Healthcare is seeking an Electrophysiology Advanced Practice Provider to join our team at Piedmont Eastside Hospital. This is a full-time position working variable shifts, including days, holidays, night call coverage, and weekends.
About the RoleThis is a great opportunity to be employed by one of the nation's leading cardiology programs. You will work alongside some of the most respected and highly-trained physicians. Piedmont Heart Institute provides the full line of cardiovascular services with dedicated transplant, advanced heart failure, critical care, interventional, surgical, and research services.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the evaluation and treatment of electrophysiology patients in an inpatient setting and in independent outpatient clinics
- Take patient histories, conduct physical examinations, and record the data in the patient's record
- Write progress notes, consults, admissions, and discharge summaries
- Prepare patient workups
- Order and schedule diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for patients as direct patient care services are delivered
- Work alongside physicians and other cardiology advanced practice providers in a collaborative team
- Overnight call and hospital/clinic coverage occasionally includes general cardiology patients

To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Masters or bachelors degree from an Accredited PA program and National Board Certification
- Or Licensed as a nurse practitioner and approved to practice as a NP by State of Georgia with National Certification
1-2 years of electrophysiology experience preferred
Minimum 2-3 years of general cardiology experience preferred; familiarity with pacemakers and defibrillators a plus
