About the Role

We are seeking a talented CAD Designer to join our transportation team at Stantec. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality civil drawings and 3D models using Bentley InRoads/OpenRoads and Autodesk AutoCAD Civil3D.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce civil drawings and 3D models for transportation infrastructure projects
  • Organize and maintain digital file databases for each project using Bentley ProjectWise software
  • Use knowledge of tools and drafting to complete assigned tasks, including 2D and 3D model development, design changes, and drafting using CAD platforms
  • Facilitate and ensure the quality of drawings and graphic work produced for the team
  • Communicate with team members during 3D model and plan production
  • Understand ProjectWise file structures and modifications to files for exchanges with other team members
  • Create roadway alignments, profiles, templates, and corridors
  • CAD surface and digital terrain modeling
  • Ensure CAD standards and styles, quality assurance, and quality control procedures are followed during drawing planning and production
  • Work to meet project schedules
Qualifications
  • Experience with civil infrastructure projects, particularly roadway and utility projects
  • Proficiency in Bentley InRoads/Open Roads
  • Strong attention to detail and presentation
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player approach to design and problem-solving
  • Ability to work within a team, sharing workloads to meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office products

Stantec offers a competitive salary range of $32.40 - $46.97 per hour, depending on location and experience.
