Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Source Recruitment Solutions. As an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing production equipment, ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing plant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the repair and preventative maintenance of food manufacturing machines.
  • Repair all plant refrigeration, industrial production equipment, and preventative maintenance of food manufacturing machines.
  • Monitor all material handling equipment maintenance activities, ensuring all equipment is serviced as required.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, PLCs, and precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Make recommendations to senior management to improve the maintenance function.
  • Repair and troubleshoot various hydraulic and conveyor machine equipment.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma, Trade School Certification, or similar diploma.
  • 3+ years of industrial maintenance mechanic experience, with experience strongly preferred from a food or beverage manufacturing production plant.
  • Experience working with industrial refrigeration and other heavy industrial equipment, such as forklifts.
  • Working knowledge of industrial refrigeration and HVAC systems.
  • Broad knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair pumps, valves, and packaging equipment.
  • Hands-on experience with robotic machinery, Siemens PLCs for packaging machines.
  • Ability to work in hot and cold environments.
  • Electrical background up to 480V industrial 3-phase, and basic PC/software skills.
  • Maintain GMP standards, with the ability to lift up to 50lbs to 75lbs.
