Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Oral Health Specialist to join our team at Rural Health Services Inc.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity for a highly motivated and skilled professional to make a real difference in the lives of our patients.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality hygiene treatment and care to patients, including:

  • Reviewing patient health and dental history forms and updating as necessary
  • Accurately charting each patient's periodontal health
  • Performing thorough and gentle prophylaxis treatments
  • Administering local anesthetics, if permitted by state regulations
  • Providing X-rays for patients as prescribed by dentist

In addition, the successful candidate will be required to:

  • Check on patient comfort during treatment and help alleviate anxiety
  • Take accurate notes on provided treatment
  • Counsel patients on proper nutrition, oral health, and the dangers of drugs, alcohol, and tobacco
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in dental hygiene (Associates or Bachelor's)
  • Licenses and certifications in good standing with the State of South Carolina
  • A current Basic Life Support (BLS) and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certificate
