Job Title: Litigation Specialist

At PMA Companies, we are seeking a highly skilled Litigation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our claims team, you will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, and resolving complex and litigated Automobile, General Liability, and Property claims for our large self-insured clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigation and Evaluation: Promptly investigate all assigned claims for coverage, liability assessment, damages evaluation, and subrogation/contribution potential.
  • Claims Resolution: Establish and execute appropriate action plans for claim resolution, including loss cost management, while achieving financial balance between allocated expense and loss outcome.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with multiple internal and external professionals and business partners in investigating and reaching appropriate disposition of all claims.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain a strong working knowledge of applicable regulatory and jurisdictional requirements.
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrate technical proficiency through timely, consistent execution of best claim practices and established claims handling guidelines.
  • Customer Service: Communicate effectively with internal and external customers on claims and account issues.
  • Diary Management: Maintain and manage a diary system and claim pending to efficiently and effectively resolve all claims.
  • Litigation Management: Effectively manage litigation process and defense counsel to ensure timely and cost-effective outcomes.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and submit claim status and excess reports to clients and their excess carriers.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional with a strong background in complex claims handling, litigation management, and customer service. If you have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in handling complex Automobile, General Liability, and Property claims, we encourage you to apply.
