Home Health Occupational Therapist Opportunity

Interim HealthCare is seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in Pueblo, CO. As a Home Health Occupational Therapist, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families.

About the Role

As a Home Health Occupational Therapist, you will work with patients who require occupational therapy to regain their independence and learn to perform everyday activities in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes. You will assess patient deficits, establish therapy goals, and document progress, while also educating patients and their families on the plan of care, exercises, and self-care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide occupational therapy to patients unable to perform daily tasks due to an illness or injury
  • Work as part of a home health team to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Assess patient deficits, establish therapy goals, and document progress
  • Assist patients with exercises to improve fine motor skills and coordination
  • Suggest adaptive equipment to support patient safety and independence
  • Educate patients and their families on the plan of care, exercises, and self-care
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program and active OT license in Colorado
  • Minimum of 2 years of occupational therapy experience, ideally in home healthcare
  • CPR Certification (demonstration course required)
  • Knowledge of state and federal home health regulations
  • Good clinical judgment, strong interpersonal skills, and a compassionate approach to patient care
