About the Role:

The Child and Family Specialist is responsible for providing skill building, advocacy, and behavioral support to Wraparound clients and their families. This includes assessing clients, preparing Individual Child and Family Plans of Care, and providing targeted interventions with family, child, and community agencies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Under supervision, performs 1:1 rehabilitative skill building for clients with significant psychosocial impairment.
  • Reviews medical, psychosocial, school, and other needs to develop comprehensive plans.
  • Meets with clients, families, treatment staff, and other agency personnel to understand and meet client needs.
  • Develops and implements Individual Plans of Care and Crisis Response Plans.
  • Provides skills building interventions to improve client behavioral outcomes.
  • Monitors and supports clients in developing or maintaining skills needed to achieve Individual Plans of Care.
  • Identifies and mobilizes resources to meet client needs, including consultation and intervention with social security, welfare, and health departments.
