We are seeking a well-rounded Mechanical Superintendent to join our Field Operations team in the King's Bay, GA/Jacksonville, FL area.

Job Description

The successful candidate will oversee daily mechanical construction activities, direct assigned crews (Sheet Metal, Plumbing, Insulation, Pipefitting, Welding), and subcontractors on project jobsites to ensure safe production of quality work within project requirements, budget, schedule, and in alignment with RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values. This role may also assist the Superintendent with other scopes of work as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED is the minimum formal education required.
  • Courses in construction management, plumbing trade school, etc., are preferred.
  • Five or more years' experience as a mechanical Foreman running crews with project sizes (of the plumbing scope) of at least $400,000 (commercial or industrial) is required.
  • Three or more years (or equivalent) field or trade work experience with pressurized mechanical systems, particularly government, military, or large commercial construction, is highly desirable.
  • Computer literacy (Outlook) is preferred, but training can be provided.
  • Specific software literacy (BIM) is preferred, but training can be provided.
  • CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30-hour Certifications, EM-385, and STS are required; training can be provided.
