This role offers a competitive starting wage of $25.46 per hour, with an additional $2.55 per hour for shift differentials once on shift.

Shift Schedule: 12-hour shifts (7am-7pm / 7pm-7am) with a rotation of 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, and 3 days off, transitioning to the opposite shift.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage actively in safety and skills training for personal development.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of production processes and equipment to effectively diagnose and repair mechanical issues.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment as necessary, ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Disassemble, diagnose, and repair mechanical failures on production and facility equipment.
  • Install new machinery as required, aligning and rebuilding as necessary while performing preventive maintenance.
  • Utilize general computer skills for maintenance management.
  • Keep organized records of replacement parts, specifications, and maintenance requirements for future reference.
  • Develop familiarity with maintenance files, parts, and vendors, accessing information via departmental systems.
  • Perform welding and general maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Provide guidance to less experienced maintenance personnel when necessary.
  • Document time spent, tasks performed, and materials used through the Maintenance Management System.
  • Conduct regular inspections of tools and safety equipment.
  • Enhance knowledge of hand and power tools utilized in equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Maintain a reliable attendance record.
  • May undertake related duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of industrial or commercial mechanical experience and/or an associate degree is required.
  • Completion of all safety certification requirements is mandatory.
  • Basic understanding of process equipment is essential.

Physical Requirements:

Candidates must be able to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, and working in various environmental conditions.
