Job Summary

University Health is seeking a qualified mental health professional to join our team at UH Behavioral Health. As a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP), you will be responsible for conducting initial interviews with individuals presenting for services, determining their level of need, and providing psychoeducation and supportive therapy as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial interviews with clients to determine their level of need and provide crisis intervention as necessary
  • Provide psychoeducation and supportive therapy to clients as needed
  • Collaborate with other agencies and providers to ensure comprehensive care
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with clients and their families
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to clients and their families

Requirements

  • Master's degree or above in counseling, psychology, social work, family therapy, or a closely related field
  • Preferred: Missouri Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
  • Knowledge of psychiatric terminology and the process of psychiatric diagnosis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
