Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Progressive Cardiac Care Unit (PCU) team at Mercy Health. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with complex cardiac conditions, including those requiring hemodynamic monitoring and temporary pacing.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Conduct thorough assessments, analyze data, and prioritize interventions to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Administer medications, perform procedures, and utilize advanced respiratory modalities as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, patient safety programs, and education to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Current RN license in the state of employment or compact state.
- BLS certification (Basic Life Support) upon hire, with ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred.
- Previous experience as an LPN or Patient Care Tech/CNA is preferred.
- EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) training is preferred.
- Completion of RN Residency Program within 18 months of hire is required.
This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads. You may be exposed to physical altercations and verbal abuse, as well as limited hazardous substances or body fluids. You will be required to use physical restraints and may be exposed to high noise levels and bright lights.
