Job Responsibilities- Provide advanced nursing and physician assistant services to pediatric surgery patients on the inpatient units and operating room (if trained)
- Collaborate with a team of pediatric general surgeons, established APNs, and staff on the inpatient unit
- Support pediatric surgery patients on the inpatient units and operating room (if trained)
- Rotate to outpatient pediatric surgery clinic
- Expedite discharges, arrange for equipment needs and outpatient services, arrange for home health and home infusion services, prepare inpatients for next day surgery, provide education to families and staff in real time, re-assess post-op surgical patients, re-assess wounds and burns, and provide wound care and collaborate with other specialties
